I had just become a full-fledged adult when I was hired by a noted engineering firm near Atlanta. The outfit had signed me up during a multiple-company job-interviewing day my last year in college. My mother reminded me that my cousin Paul lived in Atlanta. Several months later, I found their address in the phone book and decided to pay them a surprise visit.
